Reflection

    This is the fourth week I had attended in Pop Culture class. I’ve been reached a lot of new things, have been learned and researched about many different culture I never heard before. The first assignment is introduction to culture was so useful for me, it gave me a lot of information and so much knowledge and I learned a lot from it such as I know more about different culture around the world, learned about people’s religion from different perspective. Culture Shock was one of my favorite, it answers a lot of question I have been asked myself before like “ why people are like that? “ “ why people are doing that weird things “ , … after we talk and discuss about culture shock in class then I was like “ ohhh yeahh right, because we have different culture, we adapted different things since we were young, and stuff like that “ and that was my Aha moment when I was figure out how it works. Before I didn’t know about the culture of people around the world I was just thinking that everyone are the same, but some people are just like to acting weird and stuff like that, basically I never know what is culture or any type of culture even mine, because I never got been told about any type of culture before till now. Besides that, the texts was improved my reading and understanding so much, learned a lot of vocabulary and the different way to use those words. “ Peace , Love , Accept “ is my bumper sticker for the essence of this unit, It just kind of make no sense but I don’t know, it just came up to my mind when I think about myself when I did and didn’t know about what is culture. It just mean like stay chill, cool and don’t judge people just because we don’t have the same culture, we need to know that we grew up with different style of how your parent taught and took care of us. We should showing some love and accepting it, and get use to with it so it would show to people that you are an educated person.  Another interesting part was the CIPE part, it was also really useful, I explored many different other countries of my classmate. They explained very details and I was so exciting because it is more interesting than I research because I was talking with the people from that country face to face and they tell me really clear with the position as a people raised there. In conclusion, I’ve so many things in the first 3 weeks so far, and im pretty sure that all of these would be so useful in my future.
